G Team & Junior Division
G Team Hyland offers several options.
Riders seeking an introduction to snowboarding or to develop basic skills are encouraged to register for lessons through Three Rivers Parks –www.threeriversparks.org.
G Team- This division offers riders who have acquired their basic skills through advanced, in grades 7th-12th the opportunity to train
up to three times per week, plus scheduled Saturdays. Riders have the option to join the “competition team,” or the “development team” and can train in freeride, freestyle or alpine.
G Team Juniors- This division offers riders who have acquired their basic skills through advanced, in grades 2-6th to train up to two times per week, plus scheduled Saturdays. Riders also have the option of joining the “competition team” or the “development team” and can train in freeride, freestyle or alpine.
Within G Team and Juniors, riders may join the Development or the Competition Team.
Development Team- Riders who do not wish to compete may join the development team. This team is designed to allow riders to enjoy practicing and achieving their fullest potential without pursuing the competitive aspect or snowboarding.
Competition Team- Riders have the option to compete in local and regional competitions, including the USASA Upper Midwest Alt Series. Coaches will prepare athletes for competitions and will be on-hand at the competitions to assist their riders in achieving their fullest potential!
G Team Ability- “Ability” is a program geared towards the aspiring “Pro Snowboarder” and National level competitor. Riders have the opportunity to participate in National and International competitions.
G “Fun” Team Divisions:
G “FUN” Team- G “Fun” team offers children in grades 6th and under an opportunity to participate with a lesser commitment. This division is designed for riders who have acquired their basic skills through advanced, to train just one day a week. Riders have the opportunity and option to compete in the G “Fun” Team Inter- team Competition at the end of the season following the regular practice schedule.
G “Fun” Team Transition- This program offers riders in grades 7th and 8th the same opportunity as G "Fun" Team. The “Transition” team riders will practice with the G “Fun” Team while participating in 3 additional practices held throughout the season on Mondays with the G Team Development Division.
