G Team provides the opportunity for motivated skiers from intermediate to advanced levels to train under the direction of experienced and professional coaches as well as the opportunity to compete in regional competitions (competing is optional). G Team skiers are of all ages and abilities! The G Team provides skiers with a "structured team" experience in an alcohol, tobacco and drug free environment.

The Team is lead by Head Coach,  Kyle Thornberg, and other coaches include Cody Thornberg, both seen below.

Our Head Coach Kyle Thornberg has a dynamic background in twin tip skiing that includes competition results at all levels, industry sales expertise, coupled with extensive marketing and promotional experience.  His profile includes becoming a sponsored athlete at age 14, six years of service at a leading market ski shop, three years managing a ski team and recently building the terrain park at Wild Mountain in Taylor's Falls, MN.  This is Kyle's first year coaching a brand new program and he aims to bring progressive structure and elevated competition by having tons of fun!!!

All of our coaches are paid coaches with a tremendous amount of experience! All coaches are highly qualified and meet and maintain high standards to coach.

Locations: Serving the entire metro area, G Team is being offered at Wild Mountain Ski & Snowboard Area in Taylors Falls. Wild offers beginner and advanced terrain, including a world-class terrain park with tons of rails, boxes, jumps and more.

Training: Skiers train freestyle skiing at Wild Mountain in a small group setting. Training includes slopestyle and big air in a progressive structure. The athlete to coach ratio is maintained at approximately 8:1 or less. G Team understands that members have other commitments (school, family, religion, other sports, etc.), therefore, there is no set requirement for attendance, although we encourage members to participate as often as they can.
