Disciplines
Halfpipe
Freestyle Event
This discipline takes place in a semi-circular ditch (half of a pipe) dug deep into the hill surface. The pipe is generally 12-15 feet deep with several feet of vertical wall leading to the top.
This unique launching site offers riders a place to spin, get big air and go inverted!

For halfpipe competitions, riders will make 2 runs through the halfpipe while being judged on Difficulty, Execution, Variety, and Amplitude. The top score of two runs will determine ranking.

BoarderCross
Freestyle Event
Snowboardcross is the newest event to the snowboard scene and the roller derby of the hill. Riders start in groups of 4-6 and race through a challenging obstacle course, built with tabletop jumps, staircase drops, moguls, banked turns and tight corridors. The challenge comes from negotiating the obstacles, and the other riders, as each competitor tries to come out ahead of the ack. In this a full-contact-anything-goes style competition, only the first 2-3 riders to cross the finish line advance to the next round - until the triumphant winner emerges from the final heat!

Slopestyle
Freestyle Event
SS takes place in the snowboard park, where competitors go through a series of jumps, rails, and boxes.

For Slopestyle competitions, riders will make 2 runs through the course while being judged on Difficulty, Execution, Variety, and Amplitude. The top score of two runs will determine ranking.

Slalom & Parallel Slalom (SL)
Alpine Event

Slalom racing is a demanding event that test the rider's ability to combine speed with exacting turns in the race to the finish. Courses are set with combinations of gates that provide tight turns on the hill. The rider who finishes the course with the fastest time wins the event.

Parallel slalom adds the excitement of head-to-head competition.

Gates are set 11 - 15m apart (36 '- 49')
The dual courses are offset 8 - 10m (26 '- 36')

Giant Slalom (GS)
Alpine Event
In Giant Slalom the gates are spaced further and wider apart than in Slalom.

Because of the higher speeds, tactics and solid riding skills play a big part in successfully competing in this discipline.

This race may also be run in a parallel giant slalom format, adding the excitement of head-to-head competition.

Gates are set 20 - 25m (65' - 82')
Dual courses are offest 9 - 12m (29' - 39')
