Team Captains

Mason Crawford

I have been a part of G Team for 5 years and I have been to all the contests. I have won and lost and it is my last year. I feel like I will be leaving something a part of me behind. G Team has been my life and some of the most fun and enjoyable parts of my high school career. Everything I am now is because of G Team. I came from only doing 360s to being able to do 900s and all inverts. I get along with everyone on the team and view all of us as a family. With it being my last year, I want to make the most of it and be as big a part of it as I can. Being a team captain is a start. I want kids to look at me as I did to the older kids when I was a grom and I want to leave with a good finish as my other friends did such as MK Casey and Tyler Anderson. This team has given me the memories I will never forget and I hope that one day I can come back and be a coach.

Jack Taylor

My name is Jack Taylor.  I'm 13 years old and in seventh grade.  This year will be my third year on G Team and I really enjoy it.  I've been snowboarding for nine years now, and it is my favorite thing to do.  I started competing in USASA competitions my first year on the team, and ended up finishing ninth at nationals for Boardercross and 24th for halfpipe.  I went to Windells with G Team and finished fourth in the Revolution Tour there.  Last season went even better than the previous one.  I qualified for all five disciplines at nationals, but injured my back in slopestyle practice and was unable to compete.  I hope this year is even better.
I think I should be a team captain because I am a good role model and leader.  I would support the other riders at practice and at competitions, and help them along the way.  I like to see other riders progressing, along with myself.  I've been riding with my brother a lot, who is five years younger than me, and taught him many things along the way.  My participation in G Team events throughout the seasons has been very high, such as snowboarding, skateboard training, and dryland.  I am looking forward to another great season on G Team, and hoping that I will be chosen as a team captain.

Jacob Sterling

I am twelve years old and this will be my third year on the G Team. I compete in all the events but I would have to say the most fun is halfpipe. During the summer I swim and wakeboard, and I also play football in the fall. I know everyone on the G Team enjoys snowboarding very much and one reason I would like to be the team captain is to make it a better experience for everyone. Another reason I want to be team captain is that I love meeing new people and making new friends. I think I would be a very good captain because I am a good problem solver and leader. I think the G Team is awesome and should continue to grow and get even better.
